Health Care Assistants, also known as nursing assistants, auxiliary nurses, or support workers, provide care to patients in hospitals or other medical settings. Assistants are under the direction of a qualified professional, and they work closely with patients to ensure their comfort and safety and support in the delivery of nursing care.
Clinical support workers assist healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care. They work with an individual practitioner or a team, taking on tasks such as welcoming and preparing patients, explaining treatment and updating patient records.
*Proxycare Referral Scheme offers £200 referral bonus for every NMC registered Nurse and £100 for healthcare assistants.
Please note that pay rates for individual contracts will vary due to contractual arrangements we may have. Always check with your consultant when you accept a shift. Pay rates for nurses working through agency within the NHS are subject to NHS pay caps and rate escalations.
